The rust that was able to be removed was cutout, the remaining pits were sanded and what was left was chemically treated

Rust area cleaned, ready for treating

The repair work is done and the hood has been primed for paint on top and bottom

Hood has been painted and undercoated underneath where moisture was a problem. This repair should last for years to come.
